Yoshinkan Aikido is a practical self defence orientated martial art which uses locks, holds, throws and strike to discourage, control or disarm any aggressors. Its practice allows lighter weaker practitioners to overcome stronger heavier aggresors and has many effective techniques against knife attacks, a growing concern in todays society.
Ukinkan dojo, based in Aldenham Hertfordshire, was formed in 1986 be chief instructors Richard and Peter Janko. It is non profit making and aims to teach Aikido to all abilities and ages, beginners always welcome. If you are interested in becoming a member then get in touch with us for more details. Ukinkan is recognised and certified by the Aikido Yoshikan Foundation Japan and NAKMAS in the UK. All instructors have international recognised qualifications, are CRB checked and have full insurance.
